the wait

i like this stillness, with just the television monologuing away
it feels like i came here to be by myself
i need this solitude that makes me watch myself like a voyeur
my body is getting accustomed to the heat. 38 degrees is almost like my dorm in Katipunan. only Germie and her books on the lives of saints are missing. and her piling chocolate and chocolate cookies wrappers.

am getting used to this wait and hoping the infant gets home tomorrow without having to wait too long. i smiled when i kissed his baby hands for a second. i hope he will grow up in smiles in his home in the mountains.
